Landing page design that turns paid clicks into paying customers

Our landing page design starts with whatever your visitor clicked on. Each page answers one search for one kind of buyer. Anything that doesn't help them say yes comes off.

“The entire process was seamless, easy, and incredibly user-friendly. They were patient and flexible with all the changes and back-and-forth... Most importantly, they absolutely nailed the brief.”

What is included

One page, one job, and no way to wander off.

Four rules that separate a landing page from a homepage with a form stuck on it.

  1. One service, one audience, one action. The moment a page tries to serve 2 audiences, it argues with itself and both convert worse.

    How a build runs
  2. The words in the ad are the words in the heading. Nobody should have to wonder if they're in the right place.

    See the work
  3. No full menu, no related reading, no footer sitemap. Every link that isn't the action is a way to leave.

    The proof we show
  4. Tracking is set up before launch. Your first ad dollar can be traced to the call or form it brought in.

    Questions people ask

The argument

Why a landing page beats your homepage for ads.

The audience

Website Development Group

One search, one page

Written for the search that brought them.

Generalist build

Everyone at once

A homepage doing 6 jobs at once.

The message

Website Development Group

Matched to the ad

The words they clicked are the words they see.

Generalist build

General brand copy

The ad and the page disagree.

The choices

Website Development Group

Exactly one action

Nothing competes with the call or the form.

Generalist build

The proof

Website Development Group

Tracked end to end

You see which ad dollar brought which enquiry.

Generalist build

A form that emails someone

No idea which ad paid.

How it runs

From first call to launch, minus the headaches.

You see the page plan before design starts, and the design before we build. So there are no nasty surprises at the end.

Intent

Intent

We agree who the page is for and what they clicked to get there. Then we pick the one action we want.

What we deliver

  • The one search, written down
  • Ad and message match
  • The one action
  • Fixed quote with line items

Structure

Structure

We set the order of the pitch. It runs from the promise at the top to the doubt you must answer.

What we deliver

  • Section order
  • Objections to answer
  • Proof to include
  • Form fields, and which to cut

Copy

Copy

We write the copy to the search first and design around it after. Words squeezed into a box rarely sell.

What we deliver

  • Headline and subhead
  • Section copy
  • Form and button wording
  • Thank-you page

The long read

Why a landing page sells more by saying less.

Landing pages fail for the same few reasons. Almost all of them come from what got added, rarely from what got left out.

A page for 2 audiences works for neither

It's always tempting to squeeze in one more service while you're there.

But the moment a page has 2 answers, it argues with itself.

The heading hedges and the proof goes vague. The form asks a question only one group needs. Both groups do more work, and both convert worse.

A menu is a list of ways to leave

On a website, the menu helps people find things. On a landing page it's a way out of the decision.

Someone arrives ready to act. Give them a menu, and some will wander off to the About page instead.

So the page keeps one action, and everything else comes off.

Where the attention goes
On the one action Everywhere else

Illustrative: the shape attention takes as choices are added, not a measurement of your page.

Speed is part of the pitch

Most ad traffic arrives on a phone, often on mobile data and often in a hurry.

The page has to be readable before they change their mind.

That's why we build these to load fast. The headline shows up straight away, because the headline is doing the selling.

Tell us about the ad.We'll build the page that closes it.

Questions

Landing page design questions, answered straight.

What you need to know before we start a conversation.

Not answered here? Ask us directly

How long does landing page design take?

A single landing page is much quicker than a full website. There is one search, one page and one action to get right. The exact dates depend on how fast copy and approvals come back. You get a dated schedule in your fixed quote before any work starts.

Do we need one landing page or several?

One per search. If you sell 3 services to the same audience, that's usually 3 pages on one shared template. One page listing all 3 makes every visitor work harder to find their bit. A page set also shows you which service converts best.

Can the landing page live on our existing website?

Yes, and it usually should, so it borrows the authority your domain already has. It just leaves out your site's main menu and footer links. We set up the tracking so you can see its enquiries apart from the rest of the site.

Who writes the landing page copy?

We do. Our copywriters write it to match the ad and the search that brought the visitor. You approve every line. We write the copy before the design is final, because words squeezed into a box rarely sell. You just check it and sign it off.
